48.4kWh Battery Upgrade in Brookwater, Brisbane

97 percent energy independence and over $117,934 in lifetime savings for this Brookwater home.

The Story

This Brookwater house now makes 97 percent of its own power. We hooked up a massive 48.4kWh battery to their existing solar. They will save over $117,934 over the life of the system. It pays for itself in under 9 years.

They just moved up from Northern NSW. Summer aircon bills in Brisbane get brutal. This huge battery means they run the house all night on stored sun. We also scored them $6,412 in government rebates.

A massive solar setup needs a massive battery. Otherwise you just send good power back to the grid for pennies. Now they dodge peak Energex tariffs completely. They make the power and they keep it.

“We just moved up from Northern NSW and needed this sorted fast. Brett and the team installed the whole system only weeks after we moved in. So happy we found them to get our power sorted.”

We integrated 48.4kWh of battery storage into their existing 15kW solar setup. The system uses two 15kW Three Phase inverters split across two battery stacks. We also installed a 25kW vehicle to grid bidirectional DC charger. A Three Phase backup gateway handles any grid outages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I add a battery to my existing solar system in Brisbane?
Yes. We add big batteries to existing solar panels all the time. We just need to check your inverter and match the storage to your roof output.

How much does a battery save on Energex bills?
It depends on how you use power. This Brookwater house stores all their daytime solar. They run off the battery at night and dodge peak grid prices entirely.

What are the current battery rebates in Queensland?
The government gives battery rebates based on your income and system size. We scored $6,412 in rebates for this exact job. We always handle the messy paperwork for you.
