Solar Installers in Brisbane

Almost every solar quote you receive will look broadly similar: a system size, a panel brand, an inverter, a price. The part that actually determines whether the system still performs in ten years is the part the quote says least about — who designs it, who installs it, and whether they will still be there when something needs attention.

This page sets out what we are accredited to do, how we work, and what we can show you that most installers cannot. What we are accredited to do

Accreditation in Australian solar changed recently and a lot of websites have not caught up. Installer accreditation moved from the Clean Energy Council to Solar Accreditation Australia in 2024. The Clean Energy Council still maintains the approved product lists that determine which panels and batteries qualify for federal rebates, but the person on your roof is accredited by SAA.

• SAA accredited installer. This is the accreditation that lets your system claim Small-scale Technology Certificates. Without it there is no federal rebate on your job, regardless of what the salesperson tells you.
• Clean Energy Council Approved Solar Retailer. A separate, voluntary standard covering how a company sells, quotes and handles after-sales service — not just how it installs. Signatories commit to the CEC Solar Retailer Code of Conduct.
• Sigenergy Gold Installer. Manufacturer-level certification for the battery platform we install most, which matters for warranty handling and firmware support.
• Licensed electrical work. All electrical work is carried out under licence, and your certificate of electrical safety is issued on completion.
• 12-year workmanship warranty. Separate from the panel and inverter warranties, and the one that actually covers the installation itself — mounting, penetrations, cabling and labour.
• Energex connection approval handled. Grid connection applications, export limits and metering arrangements are our job, not yours.

Ask any installer for their accreditation number and verify it. It is a reasonable question and a good installer will answer it without hesitation.

What we install

We are a solar and battery specialist rather than a general electrical contractor who also does solar. The distinction shows up in system design.

• Residential solar — rooftop systems designed to your actual consumption pattern rather than your roof area.
• Commercial solar — systems from 30kW upward, quoted from your interval data.
• Battery storage — new installs and retrofits to existing solar, including AC coupling.
• Sigenergy SigenStor and Tesla Powerwall — the two systems we are asked about most.
• EV charger installation — including chargers that run off surplus solar.
• Service and maintenance — including systems we did not install.

How we quote

We do not give prices over the phone. Roof condition and switchboard capacity are the two most common causes of a quoted price changing later, and neither can be assessed remotely.

1. Site inspection. Roof type, orientation, shading, switchboard, cable routes and meter position, on site.
2. Design to your consumption. For homes, your bills and usage pattern. For businesses, your interval data read against your current tariff.
3. Fixed itemised quote. Panel and inverter make, model and quantity — not just a kilowatt figure. The STC discount shown as its own line so you can see the gross and net price. Warranties split out.
4. Approvals and installation. Energex application lodged by us, installation scheduled, compliance paperwork issued on completion.

What we can show you that most installers cannot

Three things, all of them checkable.

A solar test facility on our own roof. We have sixteen panel brands mounted side by side at our Darra head office, each with its own panel optimiser so we can read individual output. It has been running for over seven years, and it is what decides which products we are prepared to install. A panel choice we can defend with data. We have installed LONGi panels exclusively for the last seven years, and in that time have had no panel failures and no warranty claims. That is a consequence of the test array, not a supply agreement.
